bunch of monsters and a little walk

phew, this is being a phase of intense work, but now I am ready to send 30 of my Les Monstris to Italy for the Zuni exposition in Ferrara...
yesterday I took a break and went to Treptower park, such a nice long walk... then at some point of Puschkinallee on the side of the garden of an old house we found this fairy circle (you call it like that?), a cirlcle of little white mushrooms that means that the night before fairies had been dancing in that part of the meadow... cheesy, uh?? but I had never seen one before, so I was quite excited about that...(too bad that in the picture you can't really tell that it is a circle..)...
so, the rest of this week I am working on some other monsters that I have to bring to a shop in Milan, thursday I am flying there and then I will spend the weekend with my parents, they live in the mountains on the border with switzerland...

Cheburashka

Lately my friend Kyoko sent me some pictures of this supercute character that is being quite famous in Japan, called Cheburashka, knowing that I will like it..and she was obviously right!

Cheburashka is a bear-like character in children's literature, from a 1965 story by the Russian writer Eduard Uspensky. He is also the protagonist of this animated film series, the first episode of which was made in 1969.
I really like the vintage look of these images in stop-motion, but too bad that it's only available in russian or japanese..maybe it will come an english version in the future...
for the moment I keep on whistling the song theme around the house :)
