yes, pancakes are really one of my favorite food! this morning I've made a pile of tiny ones, and there are still some left for tomorrow's breakfast :)

these days, I would sleep 12 hours a day... I find this cold is really dragging me down, it's like if making everything requires (at least) twice the energy, and at 5 pm I am already kaputt... (sorry to bother you all with these winter related posts, ehehe)

these pictures are my contribution to a game, I've been invited by angela of three buttons. the rules are you choose a colour of your choice and post seven  (oops) found objects around the home in that colour. I choose white and red! I don't feel like inviting anyone right now, but if you want to play along just go on and let me know, I will be curious to see you colorful posts!

Angela also inspired me to order a hot chocolate at cupcake yesterday afternoon, and it's been the best thing I could hope for in such a freezing afternoon: a giant cup of deliciously smelling piping hot soy milk with tons of chocolate and 2cm of foam, like a cappuccino, mmmmmmmmmmh... me and Mr. C we went for a quick walk around a semi-deserted Boxhagener Platz flea market, but it was too cold, almost nobody around. But there is where I've found the tray you see in the second picture, it is just what I was looking for...uh, and the tiny Delft mug? 1 euro and it was mine, ah!

I am feeling very tired today. After going to the post office with -19° degrees of icy wind, up and down Karl-Marx-Allee, I managed to sew a bit, but I was absolutely not satisfied with the results, umph.

hope to come up with something better tomorrow!

I am staying away from the sewing machine today, catching up with emails/comments etc. I went to the post office this morning, outside it was -10C° and I got very close to fall on the icy  pavement at least twice... so there you go with a couple of wintery images!

I wish I could find the time for taking less boring pictures, eheh, but in wintertime everything must be ready and photographed before 4 p.m., otherwise it's a mess... (I should wake up earlier, sure I know...)

A New Place For Les Monstris

As previously anticipated here I am with some changes, as you can see from the new layout, but there's more: the big news is that I've just opened my Brand New Online Store and there's where you will find  a selection of my favorite Les Monstris and The Other Stuff That I Make! I do hope you will like it as much as I do, and of course I would really appreciate any positive ore negative feedback from you readers :)

I am still keeping my beloved etsy shop, but I was in the need for something a bit more special and "professional-looking": here on bigcartel you can personalize your own page and I think it's more user-friendly (like: no need to have an account in order to buy!). Also in this way I don't have the perception of being just  one out of the millions of tiny crafty fishes swimming in the big pond that is etsy!

The other side of it is that  being that there isn't a community back there like with etsy,  I will have to promote it all by myself (needless to say I would be the happiest girl in the world if you like my stuff and you would like to help me spread the word :D)

SUPER WINTER SALE ending tonight

I hope you are enjoyning your  weekend! I've been out for a 4 hours long walk in the snow, how great! The Spree looks a bit like the North Pole, see? they say it's going to snow down until Friday, yuhuuuuu!
those up there in the becoming-usual "Windowsill Shot" are Ryo and Milo, I got them  a few weeks ago at the Boxhagener Platz flea market... I am feeling guilty for not buying the whole two families of Bunnies and Crocodiles...

today I've been sewing all afternoon, I am getting ready for a little shop update somewhere next week.. the two guys up here are not finished yet, but they already have names: they are Gaston and Ponchos!

It's a long way to spring, but I managed to fix that flowery vintage dress I bought a couple of years ago, it was too long, now I just can't wait to wear it!

I've recently moved the furniture in our bedroom and now I like it even more! that's the afghan I "inherited" from a old auntie. I am stucked with mine, need to go out buy some yarn for finishing it with a crocheted border all around, but I am still unsure about the size...

...up there attached to the red lampshade is a row of  bunnies that I've cut out of brown paper, inspired by "Der Blaue Hase", a children's book by Ela Peroci  illustrated by Ančka Gošnik Godec, a great old-school illustrator from Slovenia!
and then there is  a bit of me on this month's italian Glamour magazine! see the doll in the right low corner ;)?

back from the holidays

back home in berlin after 3 weeks in italy... it is so nice to see my place again, cooking my own stuff, sleeping in my bed, aaaaaah... although I had a great time during  these days away, I moved around a lot, I managed to visit so many different friends...

I followed Mr C. in Tuscany for a couple of gigs he was playing with his band In Zaire (we slept ON  the stage, very rock'n'roll, m-mh), I had a great time in Murano (Venice) with my parents, in Bozen and in Pavia, where I met my best friends for a nice evening meal (I gave them two identical pied-de-poule dresses made  by me...)

 I got back yesterday night after a 10 hours train trip, I've already dismantled my tiny christmass tree (you can see the bunch of wooly decorations in the first picture) and now I am ready to go back to work, I have tons of plans and things to do:
