Summer is finally here, for REAL this time! it is the right time to do al those things that I was rantling about in this post!
Yesterday afternoon I went with my friends at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt for the Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou, a great band from Benin. Oh, what a good time we had! They are truly great, there was a couple of hours of dancing and smiling around in the sunlight and beer drinking, really worth of all the winter moths of waiting for all this!
You may have a glance on their daily life and music through this great documentary on arte.tv and this footage from the mid Seventies:
After this we went to Dolores for our favorite burrito, piling up some calories before another concert: Valient Thorr were playing at White Trash! This is the classical example of a band that can be "boring" when you listen to it from your home stereo, but then when you are in front of their stage they just make you want to grow a great beard and make somersaults, eheheh!
Before all this I managed to finish a brand new creature, you see him up here sharing his happines about my summery things: he is Barney P. Dustshelves! check him out :)
this morning I had fun around the house taking pictures of my last Radetskies, the two in the single pictures have just popped up in my etsy shop!
and here are some great sites worth more than a visit:
16 house (with this great post about the Red Ball Project by Kurt Perschke) the daily what for your 5 minutes of funny madness Prinses Smeerkass where the lovely Tine made a post a bout my stuff just yesterday, making me discovering her eyecandish blog in full Dutch taste!!
Here I am with some new Droplettes! some people asked me about them, and so now thre are some new ones in the shop. There is free shipping if you order 3 or more :)
There is also a couple of creatures that have been with me for a while and I will be very happy to find a new home for them, so now they are both ON SALE, click on their names to get to the shop page!!!

I want to thank these nice ladies for posting about my stuff, with a lot of nice words: Nicoz Balboa (she makes beautiful illustrations and there is her exhibitoin right now in berlin at Cell63!!!) Charis Ana Camamiel
check out their blogs for some interesting stuff :)
...Here I am after 3 weeks around Italy! 18 days that flyed away so so so quickly! that means we really had a good time, so good that I didn't have the time to take many pictures, eheh... here I am showing some pic we took at the beautiful Lago di Carezza in Sud Tirol, actually my first day of spring/summer holidays, there was such a nice breeze and I couldn't believe that I was wearing shorts at an altitude of 1600 m!!!
My boyfriend was playing some gigs around our tour: we spent one weekend in the countryside near Modena, eating too much gnocco fritto at Musica nelle Valli festival, were I met a lot of old and new friends and discovered the sweetest couple in a band named WOOM
I had the chance to spend an evening together with Paola and Anastasia, the other two plushmakers behind the last exhibition I had, in Verona!
So now I am finally back in Berlin with its usual shitty weather (14°C this afternoon), I think I've left summer in Italy (sgrunt), but I have so many things to work on for the next weeks: I have do get ready for Plush You 2010 and for the Peculiar Playmates exhibition at the Bear and Bird Gallery, plus answering all the people who wrote me while I was away (sorry, I promise I will get back to you as son as possible!!)
uh, the last note: I've just moved all my available items back to my ETSY shop, I think I'll set bigcartel aside for the moment... check them out!
